These tiles are cut from 110-year-old pressed clay brick from the historic Don Valley Brickworks, resembling terra cotta ceramics. The bricks were salvaged from demolished commercial buildings in the Junction and the Danforth neighbourhoods of Toronto, and are a robust material with a beautiful natural colour range and marbling. These tiles made to order and are in limited supply due to the brick vintage, and make for an exceptional product in terms of its aesthetic, ties to Toronto history, sustainability, and being locally sourced.

  • Available sizes: 4” x 4” tiles (actual 3.5”x3.5” + grout allowance), various thicknesses per request. Can be cut to precise squares if needed, otherwise as-is material has slight edge variation
