Rustic Charm

This Little Portugal addition used irregular reclaimed brick, simple accents and a coarse mortar joint to achieve warmth and texture.

This is a very robust brick that withstands the elements and lasts the test of time. 1200+ available. “Toronto Don Valley” Cream blend pressed brick. Early 1900s foundation brick. These bricks were handmade by people 145 years ago. The fingerprints of these labourers are still visible and tangible today.

Our friends @torontomasonryrestoration recently completed this facade rebuild using 100% reclaimed brick, salvaged from this very home. It doesn’t get any more local or carbon free than that.
